Ladies Take Home the 6-a-side Cup
St Ives was rocking last night after the St Ives Ladies Bowling Club took out Balmain’s 6-a-side cup with a resounding 5-1 hammering of the Balmain Old Boys in the final. Both teams had earlier qualified for the final by scoring golden goals in the last minute of extra time in their respective semi finals. St Ives captain Keir “Aunty May” Smith was overjoyed with the victory and dedicated it to elderly bowlers everywhere in his cup acceptance speech.
