Player’s Player Award Announced for 2007
In a glittering night of over the top celebration, New York Cosmos-bound Dan “Muggsy” Ault was named Balmain Players’ Player of the Year for 2007, narrowly edging out part time energiser bunny, Carl Modena.
The Reserve team votes were spread evenly across a wide range of players, such was the quality of the team this year. But in the end, Lachlan Purkis came out on top, just ahead of team captain Diego Alberto.
The other major award for the night was of course the Young Player of the Year Award, and this year it went to crowd favourite, Midfield General Ibrahim Sesay.
