Tigers are Minor Premiers
Balmain Tigers are the 2008 Football NSW Conference North Minor Premiers. The Premiership was secured in the penultimate game of the season, as the Tigers held out second placed Roosters 0-0.
Last Saturday the Tigers warmed up for the semi-finals with a 3-1 victory over Gladesville in the last hit out at Birchgrove for the season. Craig Andrews scored two and Dave Tucker saw off the regular season in style with a last minute counter attack goal, finished with an almighty leap to head the ball past the keeper.
