Presentation wrap-up
Balmain’s presentation night saw the prestigious player of the year awards for both grades announced.
Congratulations to first team goalkeeper Hiro Fujiwara for taking out this year’s award, a fantastic achievement for someone playing in a position that doesn’t often draw such recognition. In a very close vote Hiro narrowly beat the challenges of John Buonavoglia and Jeremy Pettenon.
Reserve grade’s award was taken home by team captain and midfield general Diego Alberto.
And finally, as a fitting reward for his outstanding service to the club which has spanned a number of years now, Justin Delaney was awarded the David Grill memorial ward, otherwise known as clubman of the year.
