Coach Jimmy Campbell takes the senior grade to 2nd place in league and a grand final win to gain promotion to Division 1.

Jimmy Campbell moves on and lack of funds sees there Tigers forgo their Division 1spot and re-enter the league in the 4th division as Birchgrove United. Dave Grill becomes president and forms new committee vowing the club will be ready next time such an opportunity arises

Division 4 is dissolved and the Tigers reclaim the Balmain name. New coach Arthur Stamatis guides the Tigers to a mid-table finish in Division 3.

Jimmy Campbell returns to the head coaching role in Division 3. First grade wins the league and earns promotion, and goes agonisingly close to taking out the double, going down on penalties in the grand final. Reserve grade take out the league and cup double, only being defeated once all season.

Balmain appoints a new coach, Luke Andrews, to take over in Division 2 from Campbell whose success sees him poached by Sydney Uni in the Super League. A decent year from first grade sees them finish fourth and go out on penalties in the first week of the finals series. The newly formed U21 and U19 squads finish in the bottom half of their leagues.

; Luke Andrews is retained as head coach with a semi retiring Alex Kaltenegger taking on the Under 20’s who storm to a league and cup double as the firsts struggle to make the play offs and finish outside the top 4.

; Coach Andrews is dismissed and Kaltenegger takes over the firsts with Ivan Djambazov coming in as reserve team coach. With Football NSW restructuring the reserves is now all age and still with a relatively young side the Reserves go 21 games with a 100%win record only to fall at the Grand Final hurdle. First grade have an inconsistent year and finish mid table.

; With both coach’s retained Balmain FC shocks the football world by signing ex Sydney FC start Johnny Buonavogolia on a free transfer. He is duly appointed captain and leads the team to The Div 2 title along with an amazing come from behind grand final win on Penalties. The Reserves are unable to re create the magic of the previous season and finish 6th.

; The club is financially stable and as promised The club is ready and duly promoted to Division One for the first time in its History. Moving from its ancestral home of Birchgrove to Lambert park. The club moves to consolidate its position and finishes a respectable 8th with the Under 20’s just missing out by a point for a place in the play offs.

; Balmain FC becomes incorporated with APIA FC whilst still retaining its identity as a club in its own right. Johnny becomes an Asst Player coach and new signings are made but team fails to better its position from the previous year. The Under 20’s have a disappointing year and finish one off the bottom.

; Balmain FC enters 5 new teams from Under 13’s to 18’s in Youth League Div One and along with its seniors becomes Balmain East Tigers as it moves to a new state of the art facility at Hensley Athletic Field. as for the season….Watch this space.
