The longest road trip of the season saw Birchgrove head up the mountains to Lithgow for two games with almost nothing to play for. First grade took a deserved lead, but some amazing home town refereeing in the second half saw them robbed of a point with the last kick of the game in a 2-1 loss. Reserve grade showed why they have been the team the rest of the league has been chasing this season as they coasted to a 2-0 win despite missing some key players.

Daniel Hererra was the Tigers hero, scoring an injury time winner, which sent the fans wild. The champagne flowed freely after the game and some of the worst singing ever heard in Birchgrove had the locals scrambling for the earmuffs.
