Please bring your runners to training tonight in case the park is closed.

This Saturday morning we will be taking a bus to Bathurst. Travel on the bus is compulsory for all players. Please be at Birchgrove Oval by 7:15am Saturday morning.

The Tiger Turf Cup kicks off next week and we have been drawn to play against Miranda Magpies on Tuesday April 1 at Seymour Shaw stadium, kicking off at 6:15pm. Interestingly, the stadium features an artificial grass pitch provided by the tournament sponsors.

We will be holding our season launch this Thursday night at the Monkey Bar from 7pm. All players and supporters are invited to attend and see, among other things, Dave Grill reveal our new playing kit for the upcoming season.

We have organised a trial game this Sunday March 16 against Inter Lions. Details are as follows:

We will play 2 games - the first at 1pm, the second kicking off at 3pm. All players should be at Leichhardt Oval #2 by 12pm unless told otherwise by coaching staff.

This Thursday night is sign-on night, which will be happening out our new sponsor, The Monkey Bar. Please be there from 7pm as there will be no training.

All players including those who played last year must bring two identical passport photos and a clear photocopy of an identification document such as a drivers license or passport.

We are back training at Birchgrove, every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:30pm.

Sunday January 20, Callan Park Rozelle, 9am.
Sunday January 27, Callan Park Rozelle, 9am.
Sunday February 2, Callan Park Rozelle, 9am.
Sunday February 9, UNSW Sports Field, Little Bay, 8:45am (trial game against UNSW).

For returning players and trialists selected for our train-on squad, regular training sessions are now being held each Thursday night at Callan Park, starting from 6:30pm.

The time has finally come to present Ivan's (almost) Invincibles with their league winners medals for the season in which they won every single league game.

And it's also a bit of a Christmas get together for the whole club too - all players, sponsors and supporters are invited.

In a glittering night of over the top celebration, New York Cosmos-bound Dan "Muggsy" Ault was named Balmain Players' Player of the Year for 2007, narrowly edging out part time energiser bunny, Carl Modena.

The Reserve team votes were spread evenly across a wide range of players, such was the quality of the team this year. But in the end, Lachlan Purkis came out on top, just ahead of team captain Diego Alberto.

The other major award for the night was of course the Young Player of the Year Award, and this year it went to crowd favourite, Midfield General Ibrahim Sesay.

Our presentation night will be held on Saturday September 29 upstairs at the Exchange Hotel. Note this is different to the previously announced 22nd, due to a double-booking at the incredibly popular sponsor of this fine club.

The extravagence begins at 7:30pm, and will feature food, drink, player of the year awards, and much much more, all presented by the one and only MC David Grill, ably assited by a cast of wannabe comedians.

Partners, parents, supporters and Frank's $100 belt are all invited, so please come along and make it a great night.
