Avengers Take 6-a-Side Title
Congratulations all round to the Avengers for taking out this year's 6-a-side title. They took home the cup with a hard fought 3-1 victory over their Monday night nemesis, Pie Revolution. We have been waiting for the boys to send us a victory photo before posting this up, so lads if you have a photo send it in. And please, while you're at it, tell us what on earth you're avenging!
In the earlier semi-finals, the Avengers took care of Balmain Athletic in an entertaining 3-2 victory, and Pie Revolution came from behind at half time to defeat Partizan Balmain 2-1.
We would like to thank all the teams for taking part this year, and doing their bit in contributing to making it a smoothly run and enjoyable competition to play in. Keep an eye on the website for details of next summer's competition, which will start late in the year.
Update: the lads kindly sent us this photo of them showing off their new trophy. Apparently there was a ticker tape parade down Darling St after a few of the local supporters got a bit carried away.

With the proposed 6 a side comp for 2005, whats the standard? I'm planning on playing with my less than able bodied father and brothers and am looking for a low relaxed division if possible? ANy suggestions?
Teams are very varied, some teams have an average of around 20 with others closer to 35, of course these vary each year depending on who enters..
standard is pretty good and things are pretty competitive.. but everything is kept fun with some good laughs.
just remember to get in early if your planning a team spots go quickly..
well done big ears. a spot on the marketing team at the club could be in order...
