6-a-Side 2008 Entry Forms available

Note: Entries for this season are now closed

We have managed to secure the newly "enlightened" Birchgrove Oval for this season's competition, albeit with a change of nights - this year we will be playing on Tuesday and Thursday nights (you only need to pick one).

The competition will be starting on the 14th of October. As usual, in the event that we receive more applications than we can accept, priority will be given to teams that have been with us in previous seasons, and who hold good disciplinary records. Please do not assume that your application has been approved until you hear from us.

Quick Six-a-Side Info

» Posted by Spud on 11-Sep-08

As we are being inundated with emails and phone calls we thought we'd just put up this information regarding six-a-side this year.

Yes, the competition will be running again. It will be returning to Birchgrove Oval and will be played on Tuesday and Thursday nights. You will need a squad of 10 players, and each player must have a copy of photo identification (license, passport etc) supplied. We expect to start mid October.

Further details, entry forms, rules and everything else will be posted here over the next two weeks.

If you have any other questions please post them here as a comment instead of emailing them or phoning us, as that way everyone else can see the answer and we only have to answer each question once! Thanks.

Presentation wrap-up

» Posted by Spud on 10-Sep-08

Balmain's presentation night saw the prestigious player of the year awards for both grades announced.

Congratulations to first team goalkeeper Hiro Fujiwara for taking out this year's award, a fantastic achievement for someone playing in a position that doesn't often draw such recognition. In a very close vote Hiro narrowly beat the challenges of John Buonavoglia and Jeremy Pettenon.

Reserve grade's award was taken home by team captain and midfield general Diego Alberto.

And finally, as a fitting reward for his outstanding service to the club which has spanned a number of years now, Justin Delaney was awarded the David Grill memorial ward, otherwise known as clubman of the year.
