Firsts whipped by league leaders

A dire first half left the Tigers requiring a second half miracle in their 5-2 loss to league leaders Prospect United on Saturday. Apart from a Has Reda penalty, there was little first half joy for the Tigers faithful as the boys went into the sheds on the receiving end of a 4-1 scoreline. The second half was an improvement but of course it was all too little too late, and the visitors deservedly took home the three points.
Reserve grade continued their good form in the opener by defeating Prospect 5-2. This puts them back into the top four for the first time in a month or so. The bad news story of the day was Alex Shain leaving the field in an ambulance with a suspected broken leg. We will post more news when the club doctor has made his diagnosis.
