Kosciuszko keeper denies Tigers victory

Some outstanding goalkeeping frustrated Balmain away to Kosciuszko, as the home side just barely hung on for a scoreless draw. To be fair, the Tigers dominated the game and had more chances than a game of monopoly. Kosciuszko did bugger all apart from almost stealing the game at the end with their one good chance of the game. Definitely two points that got away.
Meanwhile the reserve team maintained their spot in the top four with a 1-0 win. The game was lacking that certain something that I like to call entertainment value, and the spectators who were still awake at the end described it using terms such as “prozac with a ball” and “general anaesthetic”. The highlight, apart from Andre’s headed winner of course, was Fraser’s four precision passes to Sklep Wiezlinarski during the first half. Fraser’s midweek head shaving antics seemed to have interfered with his radar, leading him to confuse a piece of advertising with a teammate.
This weekend sees the action return to Birchgrove, where the Tigers will face their rivals from the other side of the mountains, Lithgow Workmen. Both games should be crackers so don’t miss out.
